Le ciné-club du mois d’avril 2023 donne carte blanche à Sébastien Simon et Forest Ian Estler.
«Depuis 11 ans, un Français et un Américain tournent ensemble et séparément des films en Corée, c’est une rétrospective de leur travail». La projection montrera 5 courts métrages, dont un avec des lunettes 3D. Ces films évoquent des thèmes comme l’urbanisation/gentrification et l’opposition passé/présent, et ils utilisent différentes formes qui évoquent des archives ou parfois même rappellent des rêves ou des contes.
La projection débutera à 20h et sera précédée d’un dîner partagé à partir de 19h. Tout le monde peut apporter de la nourriture/boissons faites maison, à partager (ou en acheter sur place au «Kote Joseon Salon»). Les réalisateurs seront présents pour présenter leurs films et en discuter après la projection.

This month’s ciné-club gives «carte blanche» to Sébastien Simon and Forest Ian Estler.
«For the past 11 years, a French and an American have made films in Korea together and separately – this is a retrospective of their work». The screening will show 5 shorts including one with 3D glasses. These films evoke themes like urbanisation/gentrification and contrast past/present, and they use different forms that bring up archives or sometimes even recall dreams or tales.
Screening will start at 8PM and will be preceded by a potluck diner starting from around 7PM. Everyone can bring homemade food and drinks to share (or purchase from «Kote Joseon Salon»). The film directors will be present to introduce their movies and for an after screening talk.

4월 7일 : 이번 달 씨네클럽에서는 심세부과 포레스트 이안 엣슬러의 단편영화를 상영합니다.
«지난 11년 동안 프랑스인 한 명과 미국인 한 명이 같이 혹은 따로 한국에서 영화를 만들어 왔습니다 – 이번 상영은 이들 작품의 회고전입니다».
상영은 3D영화를 포함하여 총 5개의 단편으로 이루어집니다. 이 영화들은 도시화/젠트리피케이션, 과거/현재의 대조와 같은 주제를 다루며, 아카이브된 이미지를 불러오거나 꿈과 동화를 떠올리게 하는 등 다양한 형식을 사용합니다.
상영은 오후 8시에 시작되며, 상영전 오후 7시경부터 포트럭 식사를 합니다. 각자 가져온 음식과 음료를 함께 나누어요. (코트«조선살롱»에서 구매도 가능합니다)
상영후에 이어지는 토크에서 두 감독님들이 영화에 대한 이야기를 이어갈 예정입니다.
